Product description
Built for polar expeditions, extreme mountain climbing and freezing temperatures: the Olympus Mons Cube from La Sportiva.
These water-repellent, durable boots feature a gaiter, an outer boot, two removable liners and insulation on every layer to prevent frostbites. Plus, the very high gaiter will protect your feet against both moisture and snow because nothing is worse than having wet feet in cold temperatures.
In addition, the outer boot comes equipped with a heat-reflecting aluminium layer, while both liners are highly insulated. As for the insole, a carbon honeycomb layer along with a Primaloft Gold Insulation Aerogel ensure warmth from below. Plus, the two BOA closure systems can not only be adjusted separately but can even be operated whilst wearing gloves. And, a zip on the gaiter gives easy access to the BOA closure systems.
In terms of the outsole, it boasts both a Vibram Litebase and a Vibram MorFlex to ensure a light weight, durability and additional insulation. As for the midsole, it comes equipped with the necessary attachment options for crampons and is compatible with tech binding inserts. Nothing will stand in the way of the Olympus Mons Cube during an Arctic crossing on skis.
